Six German war cemeteries (apart from the one in Mont-de-Huisnes all built by the Allies) have been obtained by the Volksbund in Normandy. They, like many other war cemeteries, are a permanent reminder of the need for peace.
Every stone on these cemeteries stands for the fate of one or more people who would not have died hat it not been for the war.

En Normandie, le Volksbund entretient six cimetières militaires allemands, tous-à l'exeption de celui de Mont-de-Huisnes – amenagés par les Alliés. Ils sont, tout comme les nombreux autres cimetières militaires de toutes les nations, une continuelle exhortation à la paix.
Dans ces cimetières, chaque pierre représente le destin d'un ou de plusieurs hommes qui, s'il n'y avait pas eu la guerre, n'auraient pas dû mourir.
