Youth Conference "Ambassadors Against forgetting"

Our educational project "Against forgetting - for peace and solidarity in Europe" is entering the next level. Take part in the foundation of an Ambassadors' network Against forgetting at our Youth Conference in Ysselsteyn!

We invite you to check out the results of the Against forgetting project - the exhibition, the podcast and its longterm impact. Together with participants of the youth exchanges in summer 2025, we develop ideas how to further engage ourselves against forgetting of past atrocities in a network. In workshops, we will identify skills and methods that allow us to send a strong message against forgetting, for democracy and human rights. We will draft follow-up activities on remembrance and education. On top, there’ll be time to meet again and for historical input.

Arrival in Ysselsteyn: Until 16:00 on July 22nd, 2026
Departure from Ysselsteyn: from 12:45 on July 24th, 2026

Regulations on travel organisation and travel allowance:
- 30,- EUR participation fee as a deposit to confirm your registration
- travel allowance: up to 499km distance from your place of residence to Ysselsteyn: 100,- EUR max.; distance of 500km or more: 200,- EUR max.
- to allow you to achieve cheap(er) tickets and/or to combine your trip with a self-organised activity in the Netherlands, you are allowed to extend your stay up to two nights before and/or after the event in Ysselsteyn
- additional costs for an extended stay (accommodation, food, local transport, ...) have to be covered by yourself
- stay in Ysselsteyn is only possible from July 22-24, 2026
- bed linen is provided - booking hand luggage is sufficient
- shuttle on July 22nd and 24th will be provided from/to the train station in Deurne, and depending on necessity from stations Eindhoven/Düsseldorf/Venlo station
- shuttle on July 22nd and 24th will be provided from/to the airports Eindhoven and Düsseldorf, and depending on necessity from/to Dortmund airport
- participants from outside Germany have to take care for a travel health insurance
- we recommend a travel cancellation insurance (costs to be covered by yourself)
