Tracing World War II in Denmark - International youth exchange Oksböl-Copenhagen

On our journey through Denmark's history during and after the Second World War, we stop off in Oksbøl and Copenhagen.
How did the Nazi occupation of Denmark unfold, and what were the Nazis' objectives? How did the government and population respond? Our visits to the Tirpitz Bunker and the Resistance Museum in Copenhagen provide answers to these questions.
With the end of the war in 1945, the confrontation with the Germans was not over for the Danes, because before the Wehrmacht surrendered, more than 250,000 Germans were evacuated to Denmark. Oksbøl was home to the largest German refugee camp. The FLUGT museum at this historic site and visits to war graves illustrate the impact of the Second World War on the Danish and German civilian populations.
Our international group will communicate in English. Cultural exchange and discussions about contemporary wars are further topics on the programme.
